Finished Halo 4 Master Chief Helmet by Hyperballistik Finished Halo 4 Master Chief Helmet by Hyperballistik
This is a pic of a painted and finished Halo 4 Master Chief helmet I did a while ago, This is a cast copy of the Chiefs helmet that I built you can see build pics in my gallery, I installed an ugly off colored goldish visor because I had it laying around also I think I made the helmet look to dirty and scratched up so im going to paint up another cast and make the next one a little cleaner and install a gold visor

What material did you use to make this? I am thinking of making one of my own.

You may want to check out the 405th web site it teaches you how to build your own Halo armor, helmets weapons etc, there is not a lot to it once you get the hang of how to do it ;)

Hey ^^
I'm  planning to make the master chief costume and I did the helmet and the torso part so far , but I was wondering what kind of " plastic" or material you used for the the helmet , eum the yellow part. ( sorry english is not my mother language) , I wanted to use yellow plastic sheet but then you can see my eyes trough it , and that sucks :p so what did you use ? thanks a lot and really great costume :)

I use the visors for a motorcycle helmet, you want to find the gold mirrored ones which you can usually find on Ebay or motorcycle online stores

Kill yourself now lol im just kidding, the Halo 4 Chief helmet is one of the hardest helmets I have pep'd to date, take your time is the only advise I can give you, it takes a while to build and its a pain in the ass to build so you don't want to mess up half way through so don't rush it and you should be ok and don't use hot glue to put it togehter, hot glue is a pain to work with when it comes to the body work stage

How do you do these helmets?
Reply
:iconhyperballistik:
Hyperballistik Featured By Owner Apr 1, 2013
They start out as pepakura (Paper) then they are hardened with either fiberglass or casting resin, then tons of body work using bondo etc untill they look like a helmet, all of the helmets I make are hand made

It started out as apep file that I put together, basically it originated from a bunch of cardstock paper being glued together to for the helmet shape, then fiberglass resin and bondo body work kind of like doing body work on a car and thats about it

:iconhyperballistik:
Hyperballistik Featured By Owner Apr 23, 2012
Its a raw cast, the visor would have to be installed, some minor sanding, and paint, basically you start with a plain gray colored helmet shell that you have to do your own personal touches to make it look the way you want it to
