How much would you charge for a complete helmet?

I usually don't finish castings of helmets due to my time being limited, I will finish one and keep it for my collection, I will sell castings to people but they have to finish painting it and installing the visor, its actually not to hard to complete the helmet casting I did all the hard parts lol, go to www.facebook.com/stonyprops, I will update when the castings for the helmet are available

??? question in the description you say foam does that mean your armor is made out of foam
usually i would assume you used a pepakura model then maybe vacuformed plastic.

When I build my armor, I take the pep files and turn them into foam templated, I then trace the templates on to Eva foam floor mats (The anti fatigue type that interlock together also used to excersize on) cut them out with a hot knife then hot glue the parts together, Its light weight, easy to move in and eliminates the Body work process all together so I can build a full suit in less than a month

How much dose this type of suit cost?
Reply
:iconhyperballistik:
Hyperballistik Featured By Owner Feb 21, 2012
This suit was made from foam except the helmet, I paid around $30 for the foam floor mats probably $10 in glue sticks and around $25 in paint so I would say around $75 just to build the suit, but it also took time to build it , then you have to figure the helmet which can cost anywhere from $30 to $200+, I really can't put a price on how much it actually cost to build it as I really didn't keep track but it was below $150 for the complete suit

Yeah just take your time building it and usually it will come out looking good, also the more you work on it the better you will get

Yoou can check Ebay but I can guarantee its not going to be cheap, I know on the 405th there are quite a few young people on there that are building armor and sometimes theirs look better than the ones the adults build
